General Information

St. Albert Community Band provides its members the opportunity to play and perform a variety of music for the enjoyment of players and audiences while increasing the proficiency level of the band and its individual members. Several public performances occur throughout the year. Two major concerts are held at Christmas and in the spring. Other performances take place at local schools, the farmers market, and music festivals.

The band is a non-profit organization with a volunteer executive board. An annual general meeting and elections are held each fall. Like any community organization, the band thrives when members are committed to regular rehearsals and take an active part by helping out in various ways.

Rehearsals are held September through June at St. Albert United Church on Green Grove Dr. on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 until 9:00 for the concert band, and Thursday evenings from 7:30 until 9:30 for the jazz band.

Black concert shirts are $40.00 and blue market golf shirts are $35.00.

Membership fees are due in September. The 2022/23 season fees are $200 for concert band, $180 for Big Band or $260 for both bands. Family rate is $340.

The St. Albert Community Band welcomes anyone with musical experience and at least 3 years of playing an instrument. If you are interested in possibly joining and would like to come try out a rehearsal or two, please email Heather Donlevy, President, at sacbmusicians@gmail.com describing a bit about you and your preferred instrument.
